Leaving Lincoln- A Place We'll Never Forget

We're sad to be writing the blog that closes the book about our year in Lincoln. We won't lie- at first we weren't sure we were going to enjoy Lincoln, but after a few short months, God's will was evident. He had given us this year to spend a great deal of time together, growing in our marriage and our faith, before His blessing came (Nolan). He guided us to a strong church that challenged us and grew us in our knowledge of His word. He also blessed us with amazing friends in all areas of our time in Lincoln- friends we will be close to for our lifetime! He also allowed us an amazing 12 months close to our Nebraska family who we miss so much already! Finally, we will never forget Lincoln, because this is where our amazing little gift from Heaven came into our lives. This past year was a TRUE blessing!!

Here are a few pictures from our last few days in Lincoln:

Tom, Jon, and Ben- great friends of Jon's who Jon met with for Bible study once a week. They are all 3 attorneys and it was so neat to see their friendship develop. Plus- I gained 2 great friends (their wives) in the process too!
Tom, Tessa, and Us- Tom works with Jon and Tessa is his new, lovely wife. Tom and Jon are sooo much alike and come to find out Tessa and I are quite similar too. We are really going to miss you guys!!
Here is a picture from our last get together with our Lincoln small group! :( You guys have been such a blessing to us and made us feel like family this year. We are missing you all!!
This is Mozart, Colleen, and Tre- some great friends of ours from small group who we were blessed to get to share a lot of fun times with! You guys were such an encouragement to us and we can't wait for you to come visit!
The day before we left, my aunt and uncle and cousin stopped by on their way to Omaha. Nolan was just loving sitting with Ian so I had to catch a shot of them together!
This is our church home in Lincoln- what a blessing it was to us!
One final picture at our Nebraska home
Bittersweet....
Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures from saying goodbye to our dear friends at Jon's work! They have been so good to us all year and we are going to miss them so much!

It's really hard for us to capture in words how great this year was for us. Everyone who God placed in our path will always have a special place in our hearts!
