Shoot! These are out of order. I'm too tired to re-do it so this will just have to work. Sorry it's been so long since we've posted. School has been keeping us very busy but we're chugging right along. I'm just 3 weeks out from the beginning of my spring break and Jon is 4. We're taking a trip to NYC March 4th- so we have some exciting things to look forward to. We've also been working on our guest bathroom which has taken a lot of energy and of course.... money. It was supposed to be an easy, cheap, touch up- yeah... that didn't happen! :) As soon as my art work comes in I'll get pics of the final product.
We've also been spending some extra time down town as a family friend's niece is very ill and at the children's hospital in Indy. We have been taking meals and checking in with them regularly as things are difficult for them and it's never easy living in a public waiting room! Pleases keep Alasandra (only 8 months old!) and her family in your prayers.
We also had an interesting evening a couple weekends ago that involved 911, the police, Jon displaying his boxer look to the entire neighborhood and me having a panic attack! Some strong winds blew our indoor garage entrance door open which in turn set off our security alarm. We had no clue who or what was in our house so we called 911 and realized we have no idea what to do in this situation. My idea was to turn the lights on, open the window and jump (ha- I assume the person has entered to harm us). Jon's idea was to leave the lights off and hide. To no woman's surprise, we did my idea. We threw our unpacked luggage in front of the door (would not have stopped a dog!), I ran and got dressed (my best tennis shoes so I could run fast-ha), opened all the windows and blinds, stood at the window talking to the 911 operator, and left Jon is his uncolored boxers holding whoever it was off in front of the door!!! By the end of it all, we were laughing so hard we could barely stand! The good thing is...we now have a plan for the next time... kinda! Ha! :)
Now to the pictures- Jon was the best Valentine this year (as always) and surprised me early Saturday morning with a bundle of gifts. Sorry for the sleepy pics, I had just woken up. We spent the rest of the day just being together, trying to teach 21 three year olds about Jesus healing the lame man, going to church, and then ending with a great dinner. Jon made us reservations at a new restaurant in town- Mo's Irish Pub. There was a live band and we had a great meal. It was something different but something fun. I'm so thankful that Jon even cares!

Good Morning Valentine

Overall, we're doing great and we feel blessed beyond measure with every day that passes. We are growing in our faith as we are being challenged by our small group and our family and friends near and far! Thanks to all of you! Miss you all! Love- J&H
