This is the last post and I'll be caught up! Finally! So this is a misc. post of several different showers we've been blessed by over the past few weeks. Everyone here has been so generous and made us feel so welcome and loved!
To start, we got our car seat and stroller that we received as a gift from some great friends of Jon's parents in Indiana. This was such a blessing!
Miloh checking it out:
Doesn't he already look so proud!
Mom ready for lots of walks with my little love
2 weeks ago, the girls from my work organized a shower for me. We went to dinner at a yummy grill here in Lincoln. Unfortunately I didn't do a very good job of getting pictures of the group, but here are the few people took for me. It was a great evening:
The yummy Eilene's Cookies- their a favorite around here
They spoiled us by giving us the monitors we registered for, a front pack carrier, and this fun play gym.
I know this is random, but I had to throw it in. We don't live that close to the place where you tee off from the hole behind our house, however someone had an extremely bad hit and the ball decided to land right on Jon's back windshield. Completely shattered and of course the apartment complex did nothing. Thank you Lord for allowing us to be able to afford car insurance!
That same week, friends from our church threw us a great couples shower. The food was delicious and the fellowship was even better!
We received tons of great gifts once again!
The crew- minus several children!
Our "shower" cake- very cute!
Then just this past weekend, we were planning to attend a "BBQ" with Jon's work and when we arrived it turned out that they had organized a baby shower/wedding shower for us and Tom and Tessa (Jon's co-worker who's getting married in July). They surprised all of us and it was such a fun day!
Getting ready to go- 36 weeks
The 4 1/2 being celebrated:
Our great great cake!
They blessed us with a basket full of necessities and goodies. We hardly had any of it- and we thought we were ready! Babies need so much stuff! :)
The BBQ was at one of Jon's co-workers lake house. We had no idea what to expect but it was absolutely beautiful. We took a pontoon ride around the lake. It was a really nice day and there are some beautiful homes. I took a picture of a few of them!
Some of the crew aboard:
Jon's co-workers house from the back- AMAZING!
And this was one of my favorites- it's a Nantucket style beach house. Beautiful!!
And last but not least- me at 37 weeks getting ready to go to a REAL BBQ with some friends from small group. Feeling ready for this little one anytime now!! :)
So- they say dogs have quite the intuition. Miloh will not leave my side and it all started lastnight. He would lay by my tummy when I first got pregnant but then stopped after about 12 weeks. Well, now he's back and wants me in site at all times. Maybe he's beginning to feel some change coming on!?!?!? :)
