I again allowed myself to get quite behind in postings however I have a reason. I thought I had lost over 100 pictures from the last few weeks with a faulty download that also erased the pictures from the camera, however, I FOUND THEM!
Jon has been staying super busy at work and having to work a lot of late nights. It's no fun for anyone but we make the best of our time with him! In min August, Jon was one of the fastest to respond to an employee challenge for tickets to a Colts game, so we got to attend the first pre-season game at home. This also meant getting to sit in the suite and be wined and dined. It was so nice! It truly is a beautiful stadium. We'd really like to go back soon!
That same weekend we helped the Taylor's celebrate Stella's 1st bday! What a sweet sweet girl!
This was Nolan's party gift. :) He loved them!
Uncle Ryan returned from the Republic of Georgia a few weeks ago and came and spent a week in Noblesville. It was great getting to see him almost every day he was here. One afternoon, he took Nolan to a local pottery shop and they painted a whale for his room. It was great!
On the 25th Jon celebrated his 28th! We had a great dinner and he was spoiled! He deserved every bit of it though!
Trying on Gimi's glasses!
At the end of the month, Megan and the girls came to spend a day with us after their return from a summer in Wyoming. I only got a few pictures and none of Hadley. We had a such a great time with them- we always do! We took the kiddos to the park on Saturday morning.
We also had another fun surprise that weekend. My sister and her girls and family came and spent a couple days with us to escape the wrath of Irene. It was soooo great to have them with us and I LOVED getting to squeeze on my nieces!

Nolan has taken a liking to his dad's clothing, especially his socks! Jon helped him get these on the other day. It was pretty funny!
Labor Day weekend we took a trip up to Chicago to help celebrate with the Struckman's for Emma's 3rd bday. Friday night we spent the evening with Jon's aunt and cousins and had such a great time. His aunt has a beautiful new home and we so enjoyed everyone's company!!
Saturday we finished our drive to Chicago where we met the Struckmans at the hotel, which also had a waterpark. Nolan LOVED it!
Katie, Shane, Emma & Bree in the lazy river
On Sunday, we visited the Shed Aquarium in downtown Chicago. It was really neat!
Emma loved on Nolan the whole weekend! It was very sweet!
I LOVED the view of the city from their patio

They had one exhibit where the kids could dress up like penguins and slide down the ice. Nolan thought it was pretty fun!
